Yangon-MawlaMyine -Yangon

Day 1 : Yangon-MawlaMyine

Meals: Non

The capital of Mon state can be reached 6-7 hours by car from Yangon. The town has very beautiful combination of landscape and beauty with a ridge of stupas-capped hills on one side, the sea on the other. Mawlamyine was the capital of British Burma, exporting teak wood from its port which is 45 km from the sea. It has been known as Queen of British Burma and little has changed since those days. Mawlamyine sounds romantic and poetic because of British authors Rudyard Kipling’s Road to Mandalay and a number of novels by George Orwell.

Arrive Mawlaying, transfer to hotel and check in.
