The trekkers will experience the unique sensation in this region which is so different from other parts of Myanmar, even though, it will be a bit tough and not easy to access from the main land.

KalayMyo is located in the Sagaing Division and can be reached by flights for almost every day from Yangon. There is a road access to there as well but 2015 monsoon was washed away the roads terribly.KalayMyo is the gate way to Chin State and it is only about 100Km from the border of India. The majority of the people are Chin and Bamar. The remoteness of KalayMyo creates this town unique and its stunning panoramic view makes the trip unforgettable.

Day 1: Yangon Arrival Sightseeing

Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Welcome by the guide from SOC Travel on arrival at Yangon International airport and depends on time will check in or start the city tour straight away. Yangon is  the largest city in Myanmar with a population of over 5 million and the commercial city of the country. The orientation tour of Yangon includes the Sule Pagoda, quite unusual in that its octagonal shape extends right up to the bell and inverted bowl, the City Hall and colonial buildings, Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda – which houses a spectacular reclining Buddha, photo stop at the distinctive Karaweik Hall and Royal Barge on Kandawgyi Royal Lake.

At sunset, visit the marvelous Shwedagon Pagoda, which is one of the wonders of the world and it is the spiritual center of the country.

Day 2: Yangon/KalayMyo (By Flight)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

The flight usually gets to KalayMyo in the mid afternoon and today is to enjoy the town visit including the hand weaving workshops for the Chin Traditional dress. There are over 600 Churches located mostly on East-West Road and some of them are frequented by only two or three families. The west of the town is the dwelling of mostly chin Ethnicity. If time permits, you can go and hung out at the popular spot for the young locals called KyaukTalone, you can swim either in natural pools or in the fast-running (but safe and shallow) river.

Day 3: KalayMyo- RihLake

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This morning after breakfast at the hotel, drive to Chin Hill directly which is the only unspoiled and the most remote region in Myanmar.

You will reach Tedim in the late morning and take the bumpy and dusty road to the border of India to go to theRihLakewhich is the only Heart Shaped Lake by crossing Man Sau Bridge on the Manipur River and some villages.

Day 4: Rih Lake–Tedim-Mt.Kennedy–Phunom village

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This morning is to experience the local way of breakfast at a local tea house and drive back to Tedim. On the way to Tedim, visit the lively Indian-Myanmar border town, RihKhaw Dal where you will have a chance to explore how they trade.

Lunch at a local restaurant in Tedim, then, visit Tedim. Afterwards,  drive to Mt.Kennedy about an hour and start your trek (will take about 1hour 30 minutes) to the peak of Mt.Kennedy or Thuamvum in the dialect of Tedemtribe.and enjoy the panoramic view. (Kennedy Peak is Then trek down directly to Phunom village (About 2H Trekking time).

Day 5: Phunom Village

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This morning breakfast,, trek to the Phunom old village about an hour. Observe the ways of life of Chin villagers who are one of the Tibeto-Burman groups. It is interesting to see the way how they live, how they give their names, how they inherit and how their funeral is, etc…

Overnight stop in Phunom village

Day 6: Phunom Village- Kalay

After breakfast, trek to Sozangvillage, (the literal meaning of the name of this village is “Lucky Place”) about two hours where the awaiting car will be and drive back to Kalay

. Lunch at the local restaurant in Kalay and transfer to the airport
